Loose Willis

Loose Willis is a Psychedelic Freak-Jazz group based out of New Orleans. Their band-leader, Miles Hancock, is a visionary composer, arranger and bassist, with a profoundly unique perspective. Their music is wild and adventurous, but is fundamentally grounded by their emphasis on groove. 

HAUS Music's relationship with Loose Willis began seven years ago at Berklee College of Music. I was introduced to Miles, and we began collaborating on a few tracks which would ultimately become Loose Willis' debut record We Come In Peace (Ind. 2012). Our workflow developed organically, and although we ended up in different places, we still managed to make the time to complete a second record as well, Time Yacht: The Traveler (Ind. 2014). Miles' music has always been a revelatory and transformative experience to participate in, and I have found so many delightful paths to creation from my experiences with it.
